So Logansteno touched on this earlier, but Cadillac reallyyyy buried the lede on this one... All the way down at the very end of their Escala press release is this: “Escala uses a new 4.2-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine, a prototype of a new system in development for future Cadillac models.”
Eeeeeeeeeeenteresting.

New 4.2 litre? V8? With turbos? That can only mean one thing*. It’s a diesel.
*No it doesn’t.

Also, am I the only one who keeps reading “Escala” as someone hitting enter before finishing “Escalade?”

On this topic, they should shove the LT1 in the CT6.
460hp V8 > 400hp TTV6. Or at least offer the ATS-V engine. The biggest Cadillac has the least horsepower, whats up with that?

So I hate that people compare cars to other cars all the time, but this thing just seems so Audi A7 done up to look Caddy.
Twin Turbo’s isn’t helping the case (though maybe I’ll start calling it an S7 instead of an A7 haha).
I have to say, it looks great though, I’m just making the comparison. I definitely feel it looks better than the Audi’s.

That should be good. I also find it interesting that it’s not called the CTC5STSV9, to correlate with their stupid new naming convention.

So much for the “one week ban”, huh? Really classy move.
